Since a child and dancing on her mother’s feet, Deana has always had a passion for music and dance. Throughout her life she has studied different styles of dance but it wasn’t until 2004 that she found FatChance BellyDance, ATS®, and her true love.
After studying with many wonderful teachers over the years, she went on to teaching and performing this exciting style of improvised dance. She met Carolena Nericcio-Bohlman in 2008 and had the honour of becoming the first Sister Studio to FCBD in the UK.
Deana founded Tribal Unity in 2009 and along with her troupe sisters is dedicated to bringing the beauty and connection of ATS® to as many people as possible, in the true spirit of peace and harmony.
She regularly travels across the UK and Europe teaching workshops and performing. She has also assisted Carolena in teaching the General Skills Intensive and is UK sponsor to FCBD®. In 2014, she was honoured to become a FCBD® approved Sister Studio Continuing Education Teacher.
She truly believes that the energy built and shared between dancers with this improvised style is a connection which is rare and very special.
